We have been in an “exceptional situation” in the pandemic for more than a year. The initial crisis has mutated into a permanent state. Years ago, research in neuroscience showed a connection between mental fitness and performance through mindfulness: Mindfulness is an original resource that protects against the effects of stress and balances the energy level. Mindfulness means consciously experiencing the present without being influenced by thoughts, memories and strong emotions and evaluating these perceptions. At the same time, old ballast can be let go and space can be created for new things. This inner attitude enables personal development and promotes resilience and calmness.
Mindfulness is a natural skill that can be trained and strengthened through practice. The aim is to focus on the present, to take a non-judgmental look at yourself and your surroundings, and to gain clarity. A key factor in mastering mindfulness is knowing about your own personality, especially needs, emotions and limits.
